Keepin' it Sweet

Good Evenin'

And, another peach! Sunny skies, mild temps and gentle breezes; just mild enough where the sun felt like a warm blessing and the breezes, a sweet caress.

More back and forth in the office; more comments comin' in, requests for the book, envelopes and signatures for the early bird orders. But, I did get my evenin' stroll, even if my head was spinnin' a little; Carolyn, Ray's wife, had just read the book and liked it. Simple, really, but much as Ray meant to me in my life, to be able give a little something back, well, it just touched me quite some.

I suppose, about a mile out, the sun down, the soft lingerin' light, the valley a gentle tapestry of green and gold, I did start to settle in to the rhythym of the walk and the calm of the evenin'. Made it out to the big pond in the middle, by the grove, but didn't find the bunch. Maybe mornin' I'll haul some water, see if I can't spot 'em.

Anyway, a good day, I suppose and I'm always glad for the chance to write a little; it's kinda like a mirror. A chance to reflect and ask myself if I did my best; if I enjoyed the most. Special now, where there are some big ideas floatin' around and they're temptin', where I got a bunch a ponies ta feed and the foster home lookin' for wings. So, just to remember I'm alive and it all began with love, me, the ponies, the kids; just maybe I can keep a balance and stay with that. 'Cause it's really somethin' I noticed over time, the tendancy ta think, "well, I might get a little off balance, but I'll come back, soon as I getter done.". I've also noticed, it ain't necessarily so; that "little" can turn into a lot, blink of the eye and "comin' back" can take some doin'.

And just like my walk in the evenin', ya hate to see a day go by, 'out feelin' like ya got ta see a little, enjoy some and feel a little thanks. If ever home were sweet, it'd have ta be for thanks and thanks are scarce if ya don't enjoy.

Have a nice night!

Best,
jeune

  1. Yes ... I couldn't agree more. It all started outside with the horses, the breeze on your face, the sage, the wild. You feed your soul there, the river flows upward inside of you, and your face smiles. :) This is the best thing to know about your life maybe right now ... to drink the water of life that really quenches the thirst.

    Blessings,
    Peaceful
