War and Peace; the short version.

Good Evenin'

Well, more rain! And, quite some; welcome, welcome. Hopeful get our ponds back up, for we head into fall.

Otherwise, pretty simple; just a little wood huntin' 'tween showers. Checkin' my piles from last year, out yonder, under the trees, just west a camp. Hard as it come, wasn't too much dry and I resorted to some old cedar trees, had a few, kinda dry branches northeast side, lee a the storm.

The boys been hungry, hungry; likely knowin' the season's in flux and the damp air does get 'em up. Even the burros was callin' a flake and they been pretty content with their pasture.

We'll dry up here, day or two and hopeful, get back to work. Heap a cleanin' and mendin', get ready for winter, but, truthful it's all happy work. I am like ta have ta budget a little, though, where times are lean and some a my backers are runnin' dry. See if I can't come up with a little campaign raise some dough for hay. I know some'd figure feedin' horses a waist, but, way I figure, we get this foster home rollin', the horses make all the difference.

Maybe some day our politicians'll wise up; wars might look good on paper and make a few folks rich, but healin' and raisin' our kids, happy and smart, there's a future with hope.

Have a nice evenin'.

Best

Valuing children and animals is necessary for a great nation. True character is indeed shown by how one treats those who are vulnerable. I sure understand what you're saying. Enough with the fighting. Promote simple goodness and kindness.

Sounds peaceful with the rain coming down off and on. Glad the ponds are getting full. I'll ask around and see if anyone has any hay they can get out there. Got the woodstove going ... snow coming Monday ... it'll melt .. it has to take a few practice runs before it actually sticks ... one October 31st a few years back, we got 3 feet of snow in about 24 hours. Wow ... amazing ... nature knows how to do BIG things .. :D. You do what you're good at, keep at it consistently, and it grows exponentially.

    Blessings on another beautiful day,
    Peaceful

PS: Wow .. I just can't quit saying it ... I love that picture ... so powerful and you can feel the movement!
